3. Write a descriptive paragraph drescribing the most important mentor you've ever had.

The reading strategy for Workshop 7 will be cause-and-effect.  Recognizing cause-and-effect relationships helps readers learn how ideas fit together.

This week we will read Amigo Brothers by Piri Thomas.`All stories have similar parts.  As we read, we will focus on the setting, characters, plot and theme.  We will keep track of these elements to help us understand the story better.

Reminder: The graphic organizer for Amigo Brothers is due this Friday, April 1st.

Today we read the life skills text "Right on the Money."  Tomorrow, you will take the Word Challenge from Workshop 5 and, if time allows, we may start writing the persuasive paragraph on money management and teens.

Tomorrow you will take the rSkills test for Workshops 3 and 4.  In addition, we will watch the Anchor Video for Workshop 5 (In the Money).  In these selections, you will learn about money management while identifying the steps used to find problems and solutions.
