IB Open House for Interested Students

The Open House for all Cobb County students and families interested in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at CHS will be held on THURSDAY, October 16, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Livingston Auditorium at Campbell High School.

After a general assembly and information session, prospective students and their families will get a chance to hear from the IB faculty members, to meet parents of alumni and current students, and to talk to the IB students.  It's a great opportunity to learn about the program from the people who live it each day.  If you have questions,  Email us or call us at 678-842-6856. 

If you are unable to attend the Open House event, please contact the IB Coordinator, Dan Penick, to make alternate arrangements for a visit to the school. We look forward to seeing you soon as part of CHS IB!

PSAT Reminder

All 9th and 11th grade students who plan to take the PSAT on October 15 need to bring $15 cash/check/money order to Ms. Adams in 9-B (next to Room 911) before September 25th.  Questions should be directed to Mr. Penick.  

IB 10th Grade Parent Social

The IB 10th Grade Parent Social is this Sunday, September 28th from 5:00 - 7:30 PM.  Leave the kids at home for a little while, and join us for a fun evening of socializing with the parents of the CHS IB Class of 2017!  It’s a wonderful chance to meet lots of people and enjoy some great food and drinks. 

The event will be hosted by Betsy and Rafael San Miguel at their home, which is just off of Paces Ferry Road and close to 285/75.  The address is 3277 Craggy Point SE, Atlanta, GA 30339.  Please park along both sides of the street, but don't block any driveways. Other nearby streets can also serve as parking options.

CHS Quiz Bowl Earns 2nd Place at Cobb County Tournament

The CHS Academic Bowl Team went 5 and 1 at the Cobb County Tournament.  After beating Wheeler, Kennesaw Mtn., Sprayberry, Lassiter, and Harrison, they lost in the final to Walton.  Congratulations to Ben Chen, Vanessa Chen, Samad Virani, Emma Thomas and Ben Davidson for their hard work!  We hope to see them soon on WSB's High Q!

How to take the PSAT on October 15th

We encourage all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade IB students to take the PSAT. Juniors, in particular, should participate because this test determines National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists. 

If you are a 10th grade student, you will be able to take the PSAT on October 15, 2014 for free because the district pays for it.

If you are a Pre-IB 9th or an 11th grade IB student who would like to take the PSAT on October 15, please bring $15 cash/check/money order to Ms. Adams in 9-B (next to Room 911). We will accept payment until September 25th.  Questions should be directed to Mr. Penick.
