Deadline for Applications is Friday, December 5

All applications for admission for the 2015-2016 school year must be completed by this Friday, December 5, 2014; anything entered into the portal after that date cannot be accepted.

Naval Academy Visit

A representative from the United States Naval Academy will be at Zaxby's (new location on Spring Rd) on Tuesday, November 25 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM to talk to students interested in service academies. A graduate of Campbell High school, he can share his insight into the application process, the Naval Academy experience, and the tremendous summer programs offered at the academies. Don't miss this chance to get great information!

Service Opportunity

Looking for a chance to earn CAS hours and give back to the community before Thanksgiving?  Here are the details about a service opportunity:

Who: 7 Bridges to Recovery— a non-profit Christian organization working to end homelessness in Atlanta. They have a home for 105 women and children and a program for 25 men all rescued from the streets.

What: Volunteers will be helping to make 700 meals for Saturday’s ministry on the streets, where the volunteers go into Atlanta and pass out the meals to the homeless.

Where: 2840 Plant Atkinson Road  Smyrna, GA 30080

When: Friday, November 21. Volunteers will meet at the above address at 7 PM.

GA Tech Women in Engineering Event

The Georgia Tech Women in Engineering Program is excited to announce its 1^st Students Exploring Engineering (SEE) event for female freshmen and sophomores in high school.

 SEE is a one-day event that offers female high school freshmen and sophomores the opportunity to explore the possibilities of engineering.  The day is filled with a multitude of activities:  a brief introduction of the various engineering disciplines, faculty lab visits, interactive projects, and a campus tour.  In addition, attendees have the chance to meet with a GT Admissions Counselor to find out about the admissions process and the academic requirements necessary to be successful in engineering undergraduate programs. 

This year's SEE event will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 8:30AM to 4:00 PM in the Georgia Tech Student Center Ballroom. 

The non-refundable registration fee for SEE is $25.00, which covers all materials ,breakfast and lunch for each girl attending the program, and breakfast for parents or guardians and teachers.

CHS Quiz Bowl wins on High-Q

Congratulations to the CHS Quiz Bowl team for their big win last night on High-Q. Ben Chen, Vanessa Chen, Emma Thomas and Samad Virani soundly defeated Grady High School. This match will air on Nov. 23rd so please tune in to watch them!  Their next match will be in February.

AP and IB Exam Schedule for May 2015

Please download the IB AP Examination Schedule 2015.  Students will be given more specific information as we get closer, but this should help everyone plan ahead.  

AP Exam Registration for May 2015

Registration for AP Exams in May 2015 begins this month!  To make the process easier, all registration and payments will be made online through a service called Total Registration.  Students must access the registration site here: CHS AP Exam Registration.  

Students taking AP exams at Campbell High School must register for exams by at 11:59 pm, April 8, 2015. For the 2015 AP Exams, the cost is $ $95 per exam.  Campbell High School is excited to offer families the ability to pay their exam fees online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration.

Registrations that are not paid by 11:59 PM, Saturday, Apr 11, 2015 will be cancelled and exams will not be ordered.

Project 2400 SAT Prep Meeting Nov 17th

 

Project 2400 is an exclusive SAT Preparation course taught by The Princeton Review designed
to help high school juniors increase their SAT score.  The class will be taught at Campbell and is only for current juniors.  There is an Information Meeting on November 17th at 6:00 PM in the CHS Auditorium. Students and parents who want to participate must attend the meeting.

Informational Event for Dodgen and Hightower Families

Students and parents from Dodgen Middle School and Hightower Trail Middle School who were unable to attend IB Open House on October 16th have another chance to learn more about our program as we have an event scheduled in your area in a couple of weeks!

On Sunday, November 9th from 4 to 6 PM at Northeast YMCA (3010 Johnson Ferry Rd Marietta, GA 30062), we will share an overview of the program and answer questions about the application process.  Current students, parents, and a couple of teachers will also be on hand to talk to you about their experience as members of the CHS IB family.  Please pay us a visit that afternoon if you were unable to attend Open House!

IB Open House is This Thursday!

The Open House for all Cobb County students and families interested in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at CHS will be held on THURSDAY, October 16, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Livingston Auditorium at Campbell High School.

After a general assembly and information session, prospective students and their families will get a chance to hear from the IB faculty members, to meet parents of alumni and current students, and to talk to the IB students.  It's a great opportunity to learn about the program from the people who live it each day.  If you have questions,  Email us or call us at 678-842-6856.
